Composer: Gruselle
This is one of my very favorite Gruselle pieces. The Meditation part is a beautiful, modal melody that is reminiscent of traditional Irish music. The Dance is lively with interesting rhythms. Part 1 requires thumb position and is notated in treble, tenor and bass clef. Part 2 lies in 1st – 5th position using tenor and bass clef. Part 3 is 1st – 4th position and Bass clef. Part 4 lies all in 1st position but has some rhythmic challenges. This piece is extremely effective and yet quite accessible by an elementary – intermediate group of students. Get this one! You won’t be disappointed!
