NCI Advanced Residency Program
at Pioneer School of Music

July 10 - August 7, 2011
Orange County, CA

The NCI Advanced Residency Program at Pioneer School of Music (co-sponsored by the Music Institute of Chicago) is an intense educational program for serious advanced cellists. The program is four weeks long. Students must attend the entire course. Enrollment is limited to 12 students age 13 or older playing at the level of the Haydn Concerto in C major or higher.

The Course schedule includes:
Private Lessons: students get 2-1/2 hours of private instruction per week.
Piano Coaching: Students rehearse with piano on the alternate days to their private lessons.
Cello Choir: daily
Theory/Musicianship Class: daily
Technique Class: daily
Performance Class: daily
Practice: Two hours are scheduled for practice each day.
